traineeships eligibility Traineeships are a way for employees to undertake training for recognised qualifications while they are working in paid employment.

The key principle of apprenticeships and traineeships is that of learning and developing skills through a combination of hands-on experience and formal training. The primary responsibility for providing apprentices and trainees with relevant instruction and practical experience rests with the employer. This is supplemented by formal training delivered by B Online Learning Institute.  Trainees who successfully complete their formal training will receive a nationally recognised qualification from the Institute.

B Online Learning contact the trainee and employer to arrange a time to conduct a formal enrolment and induction session.  Upon completion of the enrolment and induction, a Learning Coach/Assessor will develop a training plan in consultation with the trainee and their employer which is signed by all parties and a copy maintained electronically on My Learning Space accessible for all three parties.

Traineeships & Apprenticeships - B Online Learning Employers can extensively follow the progress of the trainee thorugh My Learning Space and can also participate in online meetings between the trainee and their assigned Learning Coach/Assessor.

The trainee's workplace supervisor will also participate in the BOL Assist Mentoring Program.  A formalised mentoring program ensures that the trainee builds confidence and skills while learning on the job. Mentors also provide an “interface” between the workplace and the Institute, and have an important role to fill in terms of documenting and validating learning.
