Latest News Get connected...Education Support online community has launched!

certificate iii education supportIt seems today everyone is blogging, tweeting, linking in or posting. These web-based social networking services make it possible to connect with people who share similar interests and activities.

The friends and associates that you can make are just one of the many benefits of online social networking.

B Online Learning now provides our students with a more enriched learning experience through the introduction of LearnFlex Connect into the Certificate III in Education Support and Certificate IV in Education Support courses. LearnFlex Connect is a networking tool which allows students to listen, interact, engage and collaborate with each other. You can share your first hand experiences and knowledge with others – and vice versa, through blogs, discussion forums and wiki. You can keep up to date with the latest in education news and developments by joining our online community. Here you have the opportunity to upload, share and view interesting news articles, videos and upcoming events in education.

A few of the features in Connect explained:

  • Blogs are websites consisting of journal type entries (also called posts) where you can contribute comments, opinions and ideas in response to a particular topic that has been created by the blog author. The entries appear in reverse chronological order with the most recent entry appearing first, allowing visitors to read what’s new. A blog can also contain links to articles on other related web sites. If you find a topic of interest you would like to share which is relevant to the education environment, by all means create a blog in Connect. Others may share a similar opinion or experience.
  • Discussion Forums are online discussions on a specific topic where people can hold conversations by posting messages (also called threads). Here you share and discuss information and opinions and expect to receive a response. During your course you will be asked to contribute to the discussion forum in Connect where you will share your research, knowledge and experiences on the relevant topic.
  • Wiki is a collaborative community website where anyone can contribute and edit. Wikis are often created collaboratively, by multiple users. Users can ask questions on a particular topic and other users answer them to the best of their knowledge. Never created your own wiki before and have a question you would like answered? Go to Connect and create your wiki, your answer may find you there.
  • There are also an Articles and Events section to keep up to date with latest education support industry news and information.
  • Make friends with other students and share ideas and experiences.

Connect is user- friendly and an intuitive system to navigate. When you log into the B Online Learning website go to the Connect tab, select the SPACE that is relevant to you and start communicating. Your Learning Coach is always readily available to provide guidance on how you can begin sharing your ideas.
